Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga dengan Penerapan Pola Hidup Sehat sebagai Strategi Pencegahan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2

Introduction: In 2020, Indonesia recorded a spike in the number of diabetes sufferers, reaching 18 million people, which caused the prevalence of diabetes mellitus to increase to 6.2% compared to 2019. In dealing with this problem, the role of family support and cooperation is crucial. Objective: This study aims to identify the relationship between family support and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle in efforts to prevent and manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. Method: This study uses a literature study approach with a literature review method, where relevant articles are searched through Google Scholar and manual searches. All articles used are original studies that discuss the relationship between family support and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Results: This literature review shows that family support has a significant relationship with the implementation of a healthy lifestyle, which is part of the strategy for preventing type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: It can be concluded that family support plays a very important role in the implementation of a healthy lifestyle, because it can provide motivation to sufferers and reduce feelings of loneliness. In addition, families can also continue to monitor the condition of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.
