Abstract

Background: Caesarean Section (C-section) causes tissue discontinuity due to incision, resulting in postoperative pain. Onel of thel non-pharmacologicall managements tol reduce painl and accelerate recovery isl early lmobilization. lObjective: Thisl study aimed tol determine thel effect ofl early mobilizationl assistance onl reducing painl intensity inl post-C-section patientsl at lProf. lDr. lR.D. Kandoul General Hospitall Manado. Methods: Thisl quantitative researchl used al pre-experimentall design with al One Groupl Pre-Postl Test lDesign. Thel sample consisted of 30 post-C-section patients in the first 6 hours, selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed usingl the Wilcoxonl test. lResults: Beforel the lintervention, thel majority ofl respondents experiencedl severe pain (80.0%). After early mobilization assistance, the majority of respondents (80.0%) experiencedl a reduction inl pain to thel mild category. Statisticall test resultsl showed al p-valuel of l0.000l (pl < l0.05). Conclusion: Earlyl mobilization assistance hasl a significantl effect onl reducing painl intensity inl post-C-sectionl patients atl Prof. lDr. lR.D. Kandoul General Hospitall Manado.
